Slow on a phone
Most visitors arrive on mobile, on a middling connection. A site that takes four seconds to show anything has already lost a share of them.
05 Website Design
Built for you, not dropped into a template. Fast, legible, and pointed at the one thing you want a visitor to do. Most small business sites are brochures; this is a machine for turning a stranger into a booked job.
They open with a stock photo and a sentence about passion, bury the phone number, and take four seconds to load on the phone every customer is actually holding. Then the owner wonders why the site "doesn't do anything." It is doing exactly what it was built to do, which is nothing.

Six equally weighted links and no clear action. A visitor who has to work out what to do next usually does nothing.
Pages about your history and your values, when the customer wants to know whether you cover their street and what it costs.
How it works
What is the single action worth most to you — a call, a booking, a quote request? Everything else on the site exists to support that. Sites that try to do five things do none of them.
What goes on which page, in what order, answering which question. We agree the skeleton before anyone picks a colour, because that is the part that decides whether it works.
Built by us, for your business — not a theme with your logo dropped in. You see it on a real URL and tell us what's wrong before it goes anywhere.
Your domain, your hosting, your accounts, in your name. We set up the analytics and show you how to change your own text. You are not renting the site back from us.
What's actually included
Lean pages, compressed images, no bloated page-builder. Speed is the cheapest conversion improvement there is, and most agencies skip it.
Designed on a phone screen and then widened, because that is the order your customers will see it in.
Every page has an obvious next step. The phone number is tappable and visible without scrolling.
Real contrast, keyboard navigation, alt text. It is the right thing to do and it is also the thing that gets small businesses demand letters.
Titles, descriptions, clean URLs, sitemap, structured data where it helps. Not a ranking promise — the groundwork that makes ranking possible.
Domain, hosting, logins and content, all in your name. Leave whenever you like and take it with you.
Questions worth asking
Yes, for the things you'll actually want to change — text, prices, hours, photos. We show you how at handover. Structural changes are usually faster to ask us for than to learn, but nothing stops you.
Completely. Domain, hosting and accounts in your name from the start. We have seen too many owners discover their site is rented and their domain belongs to an agency that stopped answering emails.
We do the technical groundwork properly — speed, structure, titles, sitemap, clean URLs — and that genuinely matters. But nobody can promise a ranking, and anyone who does is either guessing or lying. Rankings come from that groundwork plus reviews, consistency and content over time.
Typically two to four weeks for a small business site, and the slow part is almost always waiting on photos and copy approvals from your side rather than the build.
Then start with a website audit rather than a rebuild. Sometimes the existing site needs three fixes, not replacing, and we would rather tell you that than sell you a project you don't need.
Twenty minutes. We'll look at what you have now and tell you honestly whether it needs rebuilding or just fixing.
