03 — Review Generation

Your rating decides whether they call.

Every completed job triggers a review request at the moment the customer still remembers it, and every incoming review gets a considered reply. Your happiest customers are the ones least likely to think of it on their own — this is the part that asks.

The customer who's annoyed remembers to post. The happy one forgets.

That asymmetry is why good businesses carry mediocre ratings. It isn't a quality problem — it's a sampling problem. The only reliable fix is asking everyone, every time, which nobody does by hand for long.

You forget to ask

Not out of laziness. The job ends, the next one starts, and asking feels awkward in the moment.

You ask too late

A week on, the relief has faded and so has the specific detail that would have made the review persuasive.

Nobody replies

Unanswered reviews — good or bad — read as an owner who isn't paying attention. Replies are read by future customers, not past ones.

How it works

  1. [01]

We connect to your job flow

Whatever marks a job finished — your scheduler, your invoice going out, a tick in a list — becomes the trigger. No new habit to build.

  2. [02]

The request goes out on time

Shortly after completion, by text or email, in your voice, with a direct link. Timing is most of the reason review requests work or don't.

  3. [03]

    Replies get drafted

Incoming reviews come back with a considered response ready. You approve, edit, or let the straightforward positives go automatically.

  4. [04]

    Anything critical reaches you first

A low rating alerts you immediately with a draft response, so you're answering within hours rather than finding it next month.

What's actually included

Automatic requests

Triggered by job completion, sent by text or email, capped so the same customer is never chased repeatedly.

Drafted replies

Every review gets a response written in your voice — specific to what they actually said, not a template.

Negative review alerts

Immediate notification with a draft, because the first few hours are when a bad review is still recoverable.

Google Business Profile first

The listing that feeds the map pack and the one customers actually read. Facebook and trade directories added where they matter.

No review gating

We don't screen for happy customers and route only those to Google. It breaches Google's policy and risks your reviews being wiped.

Monthly reporting

Requests sent, reviews landed, rating movement. Enough to see whether it's working without a dashboard you'll never open.

Questions worth asking

Is this allowed under Google's review policies?

Asking every customer for an honest review is explicitly fine. What isn't allowed is incentivising reviews, or review gating — screening for happy customers and sending only those to Google. We don't build gating. It breaches Google's policy, and the penalty is your reviews being removed, which is a worse position than the one you started in.

What if someone leaves a bad review?

You're alerted immediately with a reply drafted for you to approve. A calm, specific response persuades more future customers than the review itself deters — and a spotless five-star record reads as fake to most people anyway. A handful of honest four-stars with good replies is a stronger asset than a suspiciously perfect one.

When does the request get sent?

Shortly after the job is marked complete, while the customer still remembers the specifics. Requests are capped, so nobody gets chased.

Which review sites does it cover?

Google Business Profile first — it feeds the map pack and it's the one customers actually read. Facebook and industry-specific directories can be added where they matter for your trade.

Do I have to approve every reply?

Your call. Replies can be drafted for approval, or sent automatically for straightforward positives with anything critical held back for you. Most owners start with approval on everything and relax it once they trust the tone.

Ask everyone, every time.

Twenty minutes. We'll look at your current rating and review volume and work out what consistent asking would actually move.
